about

Most of my works up until now could easily have been called "A Scrapbook".

People often ask me how I'm so prolific (as I release my 18th album).

It is because I rarely screen my own material. I learned very early not to second-guess what comes out in the creative process. It forms from the subconscious for a reason, and if the artist desires to share his or her work with the world, then there is no point censoring, altering or deleting tracks that "might not work" - that's pandering to trends and sociology.

After all, art is about expression. Even if something doesn't quite fit an album I will still release it, just because it was made. As simple as that.

Often my albums just start to "click into place" as I come close to finishing them. It's as if all the stuff I've been pasting into the scrapbook of my homestudio suddenly becomes a cohesive body of work.

This album continues my tendency towards genre-blurring and mish-mashing styles, with an underlying theme.

The work certainly started as just a bunch of tracks I "threw together"; yet through the magick of The Creative Process it turned out to be an awesome album that holds together simply by the "Glue" of toil and perseverance: ironing out kinks here and there, forging links as I see them, and polishing the whole thing up until it sparkles fluently.

As for the "Junkie" part of the title... well, it's about my own addiction to The Peach Tree. I make most of my stuff for my own ears, and I won't deny it: I'm addicted.

I hope you get as much enjoyment out of this Scrapbook as I do.

And remember, it's FREE to download, copy and share.

Peace
